Graham Bowen welcomed the members and guest speaker & judge Johnny Hughes, who was then introduced by Sandy Mitchell.
Johnny brought along his Video Camera and Tripod and described how it worked and how his company use the Cameras at Corporate events etc. He also attempted to treat us to examples of his work but was disappointed when he could not get the sound.
He then took time to go through the 11 Entries in the Open competition giving good and fair criticism on each. Johnny had 2 main comments about the majority of entries, that there was a lot of good colour but slightly out of focus.
Runner up with his action speed boat shot was Ian Donaldson.
The winner was an action photo from that famous pop group The Killers, of the lead guitarist Dave Keuning. Johnny said that the composition was excellent and was an all round top drawer photo. Congratulations to Michael.
Bill Low thanked Johnny on behalf of the Camera Club, for all the work he had put in when judging the entries and for giving us a flavour of what can be achieved with the Video Camera in the hands of a professional.
.Graham Bowen thanked Bruce and Lesley for hosting the Meeting and for providing refreshments.
Final Meeting is Thursday 12th April @ 24 Watts Gardens when the Competition is "Winter Scene"

A decision will be taken on 12th about our Outing which this year is to be to Branklyn Garden over looking Perth on Kinnoull Hill. The date proposed at the moment is Thursday 10th May, so if it suits, put it in your Diary now as provisional.
